Oh yeah, I took it as a compliment, simply for the reason that in game terms, they had no reason to care about strange little me accomplishing what they’d done so mightily and long ago. Yet they paused for me anyways, which could’ve only come from the heart. What I meant by expecting more was from the game itself. The end of the Draenei quest line ends in fanfare and NPCs cheering my glorious name way back at level 20. But 80 is just a number, and in terms of actual, game-inspired gratification, it’s just a step towards more glorious days. Or so is my observation.

You know, when you hit 80 and people in guild said grats, that was a big deal. That was the first time I’ve ever seen them react to an achievement popping up.

The lack of feral druid gear that night was indeed quite shocking. But badge vendors is where you find the good gear anyway.
